Toronto

Toronto is located on the northwestern shore of Lake Ontario in southern Ontario, and is the largest city in Canada and the fourth largest city in North America.Toronto is one of the most diverse cities in the world, with 49% of its population being made up of more than 100 ethnic groups of immigrants from nations all over the world, resulting in more than 140 languages being spoken in this North American metropolis. Royal Ontario Museum

Casa Loma

Distillery Historic District

Subway

The Toronto subway was Canada’s first subway line.It has since developed into a system consisting of four lines (including one light rail) and 69 stations.The subway system charges a flat rate of $3.00 per adult for a single trip. Passengers can buy tokens, with a token for 5 adults for a single trip costing $12.50.

Buses

There are long-distance buses which run to many cities throughout Canada and the United States.The GO Transit system serves other cities and the surrounding areas throughout Ontario. Departures are from Union Station in downtown Toronto and tickets are valid for both buses and trains.

Taxis

Toronto has a number of taxi companies, each identifiable by their own striking colors.It should be noted that the prices are uniform and fares are charged according to the meter at a fixed rate.

Climate

Toronto has four distinct seasons:spring is short;summer is hot and humid;autumn benefits from pleasant temperatures, although sometimes at midday temperatures may rise to levels seen in the summer;winter is cold and lasts until mid-April.Toronto spans a large area, and so temperatures may vary in different areas;the temperature may even vary in the same area.In general, January is the coldest month of the year with temperatures falling to -7 ℃, and July is the warmest month with temperatures reaching 26 ℃.The average annual rainfall is about 800 mm.
