Temples in the Durbar Square are similar in appearance, and include the living goddess temple, Narayan temple, Shiva temple, Shiva-Bawa di temple houses, Pula Tabou Mara King statue, Hannu Man monkey shrine and Krishna temple.

Dream Courtyard

The courtyard, built in 1920 by the son of the then prime minister, was originally designed to be his mansion. The design of the courtyard is a perfect reflection of the builders' talent. The Western European architectural style is perfectly combined with local Nepalese characteristics in a unique manner. The courtyard is predominantly white in color. The main features such as the houses, pavilions, ponds and sculptures were built with white stone to reveal the purity and holiness of a dream. Meanwhile, architectural designers created a dreamy picture with the perfect contrast between the colors of various imported rare plants and the pure white buildings.

According to Nepal's traffic rules, cars drive on the left. Moreover, all the cars are left-hand-drive. The Central Bus Terminal is located on the ring road of the north city, distributing buses to the western and remote areas like Pokhara and Gorkha. The Urban Bus Terminal is located in the Tundikhel square in the south city, distributing buses to suburban areas like Kodari, a small town next to China. Tourist buses are available in the Kamul district. Entering the country from Zhangmu port in Lhasa in Tibet, you can directly reach Kathmandu by car. Kathmandu is Nepal's traffic transit station, from where there are shuttle buses to major cities within the territory of Nepal such as Pokhara, Chitwan and Bhaktapur, bringing great convenience to visitors.

For travelers, the most convenient way of traveling is to take a taxi. You should insist on being charged by meter because the price through bartering is always higher. In the eastern corner of the Tamil district there are many taxis waiting for passengers.
